Personal life
I've been a huge sports fan for as long as I can remember.
I'm also a huge fan of storytelling and beautiful visuals. I love to get lost in a TV show or movie. Breaking Bad is one of the most inspiring pieces of art to me due to the writing and cinematography and I consider myself a superfan of the show.
Early 2000s hip-hop also holds a permanent place in my heart with artists like Outkast and Jay-Z still in regular rotation.
When I'm not designing, I'm hanging with my wife and little girl, or getting destroyed by 14 year olds on Call of Duty.
Firstly, design should improve the lives of others. It should also look cool.
I am driven by the challenge of untangling webs of problems and creating systems, frameworks, and visual designs to solve the problem in the most performant and beautiful way possible. Visual design craft is something that excites me and I'm always pushing myself to improve and deliver the most beautiful solution I can.
Leadership and coaching philosophy
I believe in pointing your most talented team members in the right direction and getting out of their way. Keep them on the rails and let them rip.
For junior talent, the focus is prepping them and cultivating their skills to get them ready for that big stage and level of autonomy.
